Mt. Scott Animal Clinic Doctors & Staff
Dr. Mariah Kimball
Medical Director
Dr. Kimball graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She worked for 8 years in Orlando, FL – seeing dogs, cats, and many small pocket pets, birds and reptiles. Because Dr. Kimball missed basic things like: seasons, hiking and camping (or ANY outdoor activity that didn’t result in the potential for heat stroke or fire-ant bites) she moved herself, her husband and her 4 legged family to the Pacific Northwest. Since then, they have added two children to the mix, so they are always on their toes. Dr. Kimball’s areas of interest are Dentistry and soft tissue surgery, but has extensive knowledge in the areas of dermatology and allergies, as well as Internal medicine, and nutrition. Dr Kimball is a strong advocate for the Fear-free approach and culture that Mt Scott Animal Clinic has focused on. In her free time, Dr. Kimball also enjoys Kayaking, baking, throwing ceramics, silver clay jewelry making, antiquing, and exploring the Portland area with her family.

Dr. Alexandria Sandiford
Veterinarian
Dr. Sandiford grew up on a hobby farm with a menagerie of animals in Central Oregon. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Portland State University then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include cardiology, dentistry, and behavior- although she enjoys almost all aspects of the veterinary field. When not at work she can be found doing chores with her husband, chasing her toddler, or pestering her Clydesdale, ‘Kevin’. In addition to Kevin, she has 2 other horses, a goat, a Great Dane, 2 cats, and 1 very special duck who has her own personal guard goose.

Jamie Wright
Veterinary Support Team
Jamie has been a veterinary assistant since 2006 upon completing the vet assistant program through Apollo college. She is now pursuing her associate’s in veterinary technology to become a CVT. Since age walking Jamie has loved animals big and small. Birds have always been a part of her life, from keeping them as pets and being a nerdy bird watcher. Right now Kiwi the Quaker parrot owns her heart.
Em
Client Relations Lead
Em has worked with animals since they were 5 years of age, and since they’re now VERY old, that’s a pretty long time. In addition to their work in veterinary medicine, Em is a linguist, a Fear-Free certified dog trainer, and a trapeze artist. They are absolutely obsessed with their cat Wesley Thomas, who is perfect. They like macaroni and cheese, anime, and splashing around in mud puddles.
Angie
Client Support Specialist
Angie has always had a deep love for animals. Before joining the veterinary field, she earned her degree as a medical assistant and worked in human healthcare — but quickly discovered her passion was with pets, not people. Since then, she’s spent over 10 years in veterinary medicine, gaining experience in roles ranging from Veterinary Technician to Inventory Manager and now as a Client Support Specialist.
At home, Angie shares life with two beloved cats: Orange Juice (OJ), an anxious orange tabby with a feisty side, and Mr. Black, a confident black cat who keeps the neighborhood in check but adores human attention. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family, enjoying great food, reading a good book, or sneaking in a cozy nap.
